W. Craig Havenner
President
As President of The Christopher Companies, Mr. Havenner is responsible for land planning, development, product design, construction and customer service. Mr. Havenner joined The Christopher Companies in 1993 after nine years with the Artery Organization where he served as Vice President- Division Manager. Prior to joining the Artery Organization, Mr. Havenner managed Park Construction Operations for the Fairfax County Park Authority.

During his career, Mr. Havenner has managed the development and construction of several thousand condominiums, townhomes, garden apartments, and single-family homes in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Mr. Havenner is a 1979 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in construction management. A native of Northern Virginia, he is actively involved in professional and community organizations, including the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA), where he is a Past President and was named “Builder of the Year” in 2002; the Home Builder’s Association of Virginia (HBAV), where he served on the Executive Committee, and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) where he served on the Board of Directors.

In addition, he is a member of the George Mason University School of Management Advisory Board, serves as a trustee of the Affordable Shelter Political Action Committee (ASPAC), and serves on the Board of Directors of the Fairfax Renaissance Housing
E. John Regan, Jr.
Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer
As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Regan is responsible for land acquisition, project entitlements, financing, budgeting, and tax/accounting functions for The Christopher Companies. Mr. Regan joined Christopher in 1996 after thirteen years with the Van Metre Companies, the last seven as Vice President/Comptroller. His primary duties included direct supervision of annual business planning, company and project budgeting, all accounting functions of land acquisition, development, new home construction and property management divisions of the company, external reporting to partners, annual audits, and the tax planning and compliance for the company and its executives. He is a graduate of George Mason University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Virginia.

He is involved in several professional and community organizations including NVBIA, where he served as the Chairman of the Finance Committee, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia State Society. Mr. Regan is currently a board member of the Woodson High School Boosters, Woodson High School Capital Campaign and the former President of Winterset Civic Association.
Deborah L. Rosenstein
Vice President
Ms. Rosenstein has been with The Christopher Companies since 2002 serving as Vice President of its Sales and Marketing Department. As Vice President, Ms. Rosenstein is responsible for Sales Management, Marketing including input on product design and site selection, Design Center Management and HOA oversight.

From 1978 until 1992, Ms. Rosenstein was employed by Housing Data Reports, Inc. (now known as Hanley-Wood Market Intelligence), her last position as President. In 1992, Ms. Rosenstein formed her own full service marketing research firm, Rosenstein Research Associates, Inc., with a list of clients ranging from builders to developers to financial institutions and capital sources.

Ms. Rosenstein is also very active in the building industry at large. She is immediate past President and Senior Life Director of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) and is Life Director and past Chairperson of the Washington Metropolitan Sales and Marketing Council (WMSMC). Ms. Rosenstein’s industry-related committee activities include serving as past Chair of a number of NVBIA committees including the Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Committee and of the Finest for Family Living Awards (FFL) Committee. She has recently served on the National Sales and Marketing Council Board of Trustees for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the NAHB Public Affairs Committee.

Ms. Rosenstein is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute, serving on local committees and is called upon as a speaker for that organization.
Ms. Rosenstein is a recognized expert in the new homes marketing field and serves as an often requested speaker for the building industry, both local and nationally.
 
Benjamin R. Steck
Vice President
Mr. Steck has been with The Christopher Companies since 2006 serving
as Vice President of Construction. As Vice President, Mr. Steck is responsible
for Site Development and the Budgeting, Contracting and Construction for
all single family, townhouse, condominium, apartment and office projects.

From 2001 until 2006, Mr. Steck was employed by Van Metre Companies as
Vice President of Multi Family. He was responsible for the design, development
and construction of new apartment and condominium projects. He evaluated
the acquisition of existing apartment projects. The Multi-Family Division was
also responsible for all Special Projects, light commercial, commercial and
residential renovations.

Prior to Van Metre Companies Mr. Steck worked for Global Construction
Company LLC as a Senior Project Manager. The company was a general
contractor specializing in multi-family, senior and campus housing construction.
Mr. Steck managed the Northeast Regional office and conducted all required
business with owners, architects, financial institutions and all project related
professional consultants and regulatory agencies.

Mr. Steck has been responsible for the development and construction of
over 3,000 apartment units, over 1,000 condominium units and numerous
commercial projects in his career.
 
Joseph P. Hennessey
Vice President
Joseph P. Hennessey joined The Christopher Companies in September
2005. He is responsible for the accounting and finance of the
companies’ projects.

He came to The Christopher Companies after ten years with Cushman
& Wakefield as a Director in its Strategic Advisors group. In his position,
Mr. Hennessey provided a variety of analytical support including: financial
structuring and modeling, property valuation, cash flow projections, lease
vs. buy analysis, GAAP, tax and EVA analyses.

Prior to C&W, Mr. Hennessey served as controller for VM Development
L.P., a Washington, DC metro area site development company. In this
capacity, he directed all accounting, tax and financial functions in the
management of over $2 million of site development contracts.

Prior to VM Development, Mr. Hennessey was an Assistant Controller for
the Hazel/Peterson Companies, a prominent Northern Virginia developer.
He was involved in the financial aspects of development from conception
through lease-up and eventually property management for over $100
million of commercial, residential and retail developments.

Mr. Hennessey earned his M.B.A. from George Mason University in 1991
and B.S. in Business Administration from Bucknell University in 1985.
He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Virginia and is a
member of the Virginia Society of CPA’s and the AICPA’s.
Frederick Kober
Chairman of the Board
Fred Kober founded The Christopher Companies in 1974, with operations in both Northern Virginia and the Tidewater area of Virginia.  Through the years, he has provided the vision for the firm's development.  Mr. Kober's insight and experience now provide the basis for The Christopher Companies' ongoing endeavors.  An invaluable link to the past and a tie to the future, Mr. Kober, as Chairman of the Board, consults on all aspects of the management of The Christopher Companies.
Austin Haynes, Jr.
Principal Broker
Mr. Haynes joined the Christopher team in 2005 as Principal Broker upon the formation of Christopher Real Estate (CRE). He began his career in retail, primarily in training and management. He obtained his realtors license in 1995. Prior to joining Christopher, he managed Corbin and Associates Realty for three years, and was employed by two major subcontractor/supplier firms in the new home industry as Marketing Manager and Territory Manager.

Mr. Haynes attended Towson State University. As a real estate professional, he has served as an expert witness and is a respected consultant on land use and entitlement issues for major local and national clients. He also serves as an instructor for a number of real estate brokerage courses and is currently a member of the Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR) Legislative Review Committee.

Mr. Haynes has served as a City of Manassas Planning Commissioner and was elected as Director, Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District in 2007. He is a member of the Prince William Association of Realtors (PWAR) and was a recipient of the PWAR Excellence Award in 2007. He is also a member of NVBIA and serves on the PWAR Government and Political Affairs Committee and the Freedom Aquatic and Fitness Board.
